UCC Board of Appeals

Wrightstown Township has adopted the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC) as its building code. Any municipality which has an ordinance for the administration and enforcement of the UCC is required to establish and appoint members to serve on a board of appeals. The board of appeals hears and rules on appeals, requests for variances and requests for extensions of time under the building code. Applications for appeal shall be based on a claim that the true intent of the act or Uniform Construction Code has been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of the act or Uniform Construction Code do not fully apply, or an equivalent form of construction is to be used.
