We hope everyone is aware that Wrightstown is a recycling community. Recycling, besides its benefit to the environment, has provided financial benefits to the township.
Home Depot will collect and recycle at no charge any burned-out Compact Fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) at all of their stores. CFL bulbs use up to 75% LESS energy and last 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. They contain small amounts of mercury (less than 5 milligrams), which should not be discarded in the regular trash.

We are encouraged by the level of support we have received from the community; everyone is doing his part to separate properly and keep the area clean.
If you have not started recycling yet, please do. Presently, we accept 3 colors of glass (clear, green and brown), as well as aluminum beverage cans and newsprint, magazines, periodicals, and phone books.
If you are truly committed to the recycling effort and take the time to save and bring glass and aluminum to the township, please take the time to put the items into the proper containers.
We ask that you take a moment to rinse your containers first; we cannot recycle dirty glass containers. In addition, dirty containers attract bees; washing them before recycling them is the best way to ensure the best dollar return to the township’s recycled products while keeping the area bee free. Your cooperation is important.
Remember, recycling done properly, pays for itself.
Paper Recycling
Please place your paper recycling in brown grocery bags and stack the bags neatly in the recycling container. Stacking neatly helps maximize our loads.
Glass Recycling
Many people wonder why it is necessary to separate glass by color. The reason is simple: most products are placed in clear bottles to enhance product appeal.Because there are no machines which automatically remove color glasses and other non-recyclable items the recycler is repsonsible for separation. The recycler’s customers will not accept variation in glass color. Please remember when you bring glass to the recycling center, separate and only bring those glass products which can be recycled.
