Reenactors will portray living history from WWII by the 35th Infantry Division and the 128th Evacuation Hospital, as well as the 28th PA Infantry from the Civil War and Motts Artillery from the Revolutionary War. Two original fully equipped WWII Jeeps, both Army and Navy, as well as a Korean War Jeep, and a weapons carrier will be on display. Inside will be an exhibit of WWII memorbilia. In addition, an actual Rosie the Riveter, Mae Krier, will be on hand to relate her firsthand experiences.
During the ceremony Matt Piette, a history buff and the Eagle Scout responsible for the construction of the Wrightstown Veterans Memorial, will give an overview of what our veterans achieved during WWII. The Newtown Police Honor Guard will present colors and oversee the flag ceremony. Newtown Police Officer Jules Ferraro will introduce the reenactors and the units and eras they are portraying. Local musician Nancy Shill will entertain with WWII music.
